CNY 2010 Break

Please be inform that 1st Sibu Company will temporarily halt it’s’ meeting on 6the & 13th Feb 2010 in conjunction with CNY 2010. The normal meeting will resume on 20th Feb 2010 and it will be an award class week. The attire will be full uniform. Members are encourage to bring some CNY foods and snacks on that day for your squad and company’s gathering. During the CNY period, each squad are encouraged to plan a CNY visitation. Please do inform officers in advance if you wish to visit their house. BB vans are also open for booking during CNY visitation.

19th Pesta @ Penang

The much anticipating 19th Pesta @ Penang is now open for registration. The theme for this year pesta is Creative. Creation. As the pesta is focusing on green concept, this mean all registration will be done via e-form.

For your information, Penang city was listed as world heritage site by UNESCO in 2008.  Besides, the first company in Malaysia, 1st Penang Company was formed in 1946. In 1996, BBM has celebrated its 50th Golden Jubilee celebration at Penang. This year we’re back to Penang to celebrate the 19th Pesta.

Registration Date: 11-15 June 2010 (Friday to Tuesday)
Venue: St. Xavier Institution, Penang
Limited places for 800 campers only for phase one. First come first serve.

BBM 46th Brigade Council Meeting

The BBM 46th BCM is now open for registration.  If you wish to participate, please do inform your company captain and download the registration form on BBM website. There will also be some post BCM tour to Kapalai. The post BCM tour is not an official event of BCM and participation is solely on discretion of the members.

BB Officers’ fellowship Dinner 2010-Central Regional Council

Please be informed that our BB Central Regional Council meeting decided to hold Fellowship Dinner among Officers in order to promote collaboration and teamwork in the advancement of Christ Kingdom in BB activities. All BB officers & Staff-Sergeants are kindly invited to participate in the dinner and shall registered with Encik James Su through SMS before 20th January, 2010. Payment is to be made on the dinner nite on the no. registered and no refund is allowed.

Sibu Christmas Round Town Procession – 19/12/2009

Once again, Sibu annual Christmas procession was held on 19 December 2009. We thanks God for giving BB a chance to participate in this event where we can proclaim the birth of Jesus Christ publicly.  As usual we had 1st Sibu Company’s band followed by contigents which comprises of other companies.  This year we have also witness the power of prayer and how God show His miracle on us. Just before we start the procession, a rain has poured down on us. But the rain would not discourage the spirit of BB. All officers, NCOs & band members had gather together and pray to God, asking God to stop this rain which hinder the procession immediately. Indeed, our God is a hearing God. He has heard our prayer on that evening and just after we finished our prayer, the rain begin to ease and eventually the rain stop.

With the rain stop, we were able to proceed with the procession. This year we’ve performed some songs like Soldiers of Christ, Arise, Joy to the world, A joyous holiday, Jingle bell rock & etc. We would like to thanks all the officers, band members & BB members for putting all your efforts in making this procession a successful one. May the love of our Heavenly Father continue to guide and lead 1st Sibu Company to shine forth for Him.

On 3rd October 2009, BBM has approved Sgt. Fam Jye Cherng & Cpl Lee Ik Ing President badge award. Yesterday, our Captain gave out their President badge certificate first as the badge should be presented formally at a special ceremony like Enrolment day or Founders’ Day. They are now 1st Sibu Company 21st & 22nd President Boy.

Again, congratulation to both of them for achieving the second highest awards in senior section. Continue to serve faithfully and show loyalty & responsibility to 1st Sibu Company.
